Masha and the Bear - Panda TV - China - SPB TV
Within the framework of the Third Russian-Chinese Media Forum an agreement between SPB TV Company and CNTV Chinese Internet-Television (filial of CCTV Techno Holding) was signed according to which Panda TV multimedia channel will be broadcast on SPB TV online platform. Also within the framework of the Forum agreements on allocation of Chinese media’s VOD content on SPB TV platform were signed with Shanghai Media Group Media Holding and International Radio of China.
“Signing such agreements confirms the potential for positive development of Russian-Chinese collaboration in the area of new media and is the result of work of the Russian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Mass Media and Humanitarian Cooperation”, Vice Minister of Communication and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Aleksey Volin said.
Joint project of SPB TV and CNTV (CCTV) implies online broadcasting as well as demonstration of Panda TV multimedia channel’s VOD content which is a flagship CCTV Media Holding’s internet project dedicated to the life of wild pandas and natural sights of China. At present the audience of Panda TV satellite broadcasting amounts to about 200 million viewers. SPB TV Company will broadcast Panda TV content on its OTT and VOD platforms all over the world. The agreement between SPB TV and CNTV provides for the usage of commercial scheme for dividing the income received from advertising.
This agreement allows to continue fruitful cooperation between the companies. SPB TV Company has been broadcasting the complete CNTV “foreign package” (consisting of 7 channels) since 2015.
Within the framework of the agreement between SPB TV and International Radio of China it is planned to open special sections for audio and video programs united under the name of “Hello, China!” on SPB TV OTT and VOD platforms.
The agreement with Shanghai Media Group Company provides for the broadcast of VOD content, which belongs to Shanghai Media Group CBN channel. At the moment, SPB TV Company already carries out online broadcasting of the international version of Dragon TV - the most rating Shanghai Media Group channel. The broadcasting has been carried out since June 2016.
Within the framework of the Third Russian-Chinese Media Forum, a trilateral memorandum was also signed between Shanghai Media Group, SPB TV and Masha and the Bear. The main goal of the agreement is joint actions and coordination on the distribution of the animated series Masha and the Bear and comprehensive brand promotion throughout the territory of China.
"The agreements signed at the Forum are the result of many years of work with Chinese partners, which now produces results. We have achieved the main thing - trust of our Chinese colleagues and a significant Chinese TV content audience gain”, SPB TV General Director Kirill Filippov said.
International Radio of China
International Radio of China (IRC) was established on December 3, 1941. It is the only state radio in China that has the right to international broadcasting. Currently, International Radio of China broadcasts in 65 languages. The main goal of IRC is to familiarize the world with China and China with the world, to promote friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of China and the world. IRC creates a new, modern and complex media holding, adhering to the priority areas: "China's opinion, global horizons, high unity of people", actively participating in the creation of a modern, complex media holding of the international level.
CNTV is the Chinese national radio and television organization, established with the support of Central Chinese Television (CCTV). It is a multi-language multi-terminal platform with video materials. In the regime of live broadcast CNTV covers the news on politics, economy, society, culture and sports not only of China, but also foreign news. Also all the programs can be found in the archive. In addition, users are also given the opportunity to upload their own videos here. China's Internet Television started broadcasting on December 28, 2009. CNTV services are now available to Internet users in 190 countries. CNTV broadcasts in English, Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, Korean, Mongolian, Tibetan, Uighur and Kazakh. China's Internet Television broadcasts through the Internet, ip-TV and mobile television.
