SPB TV at the CSTB 2014 exhibition

St. Petersburg, Russia, Jan. 24, 2014 – SPB TV, one of the world's leading providers of end-to-end OTT TV, IP TV and mobile TV solutions for video content delivery to multi-screen devices, plans to unveil interactive TV and video-content viewing technologies at CSTB 2014 exhibition.

Nash football GO! multi-screen OTT service, created as part of the Russian premier league’s official TV channel Nash football, will showcase SPB TV’s interactive solutions. It allows for online live viewing of 240 season games in full HD, as well as providing for access to a collection of past games and programs in VOD.

SPB TV’s specialists developed a special interface for smart TVs, iOS and Android mobile devices as well as a web version. Using these unique interactive technologies, the users of Nash football GO! are provided with the opportunity to not only watch a game, but also to participate.

CSTB 2014 participants will be able to watch the vote for best players and teams during the broadcast. A complete set of interactive functions will be available by the beginning of the new football season. For example, the possibility to see additional information about players, goals, games and so on.

“We have analyzed the needs of modern viewers and come to the conclusion that second screen technology, which was much spoken about, fell short. Users want to get necessary information from one device without interrupting their viewing. That is why we see the future in interactive technologies and have a goal to develop them,” said Kirill Filippov, SPB TV’s general director.

SPB TV will unveil technical possibilities of Amediateka.ru, an online library of premium TV series for different devices, as well as showcase an OTT platform for video delivery to all the devices and take part in the International Forum CSTB 2014 's business program. At the forum the company’s managers will discuss their plans for the future development in the CIS and Russia’s regions.
