Tele2 and SPB TV to launch Mobile TV service

Moscow - Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, in partnership with SPB TV, one of the world's leading providers of end-to-end, IP TV and mobile TV solutions for video content delivery to multi-screen devices, has released a new application for mobile devices - Tele2 TV. Subscribers can now watch their favorite TV programs and films on smartphones and tablets' screens.

The user-friendly and multifunctional mobile application Tele2 TV allows for watching more than 60 Russian and foreign channels on mobile devices online.

The application supports all Android mobile devices with version 2.1 or later and is already available on Google Play.

In the nearest future iOS and Windows phone versions will be released and made available on their corresponding apps markets.

The application was developed by the SPB TV Company, which has also created the interface and provided content service.

"We appreciate the opportunity to cooperate with Tele2 in launching the mobile TV service, which by all means will be highly appraised by their subscribers," said Kirill Filippov, SPB TV's general director.

As of December 12, the subscriber's fee for Tele2 TV service is 7 rubles a day. All new users will be provided with a promo period of three days, during which time the service will be free. After this period expires user will be prompted to subscribe and continue viewing for a subscriber fee.

Today we are glad to present a user-friendly and up-to-date mobile application, which allows our clients to 'take' a TV-set with them and watch their favorite TV programs where they want. We have huge plans for developing services based on high-speed mobile internet, and in nearest future we are going to release a music service. I hope that new services will make our subscribers happy, especially taking into account that our prices will be beneficial."
