SPB TV joins RAEC
St. Petersburg, Russia, April 17, 2014 – SPB TV, one of the world's leading providers of end-to-end OTT TV, IP TV and mobile TV solutions for video content delivery to multi-screen devices, became a member of RAEC, a non-commercial organization that brings together all the largest players on the Russian internet field. The organization was founded in 2006. Currently the association unites more than 100 participants on the electronic communications market, which allows RAEC to promote the industry’s interests and solve its problems in an effective way.
“Entering such a serious organization as RAEC is a great honor for us. With all our activities we try to be involved in establishing a civilized informational society, and RAEC will give us an opportunity to participate in the development of internet technologies in the Russian Federation as well as to share our expert opinions and learn the point of view of other companies,” said Kirill Filippov, SPB TV’s general director.
The tasks of the association comprise expertise, standardization and development of internet technologies (including technologies for searching, manufacturing, storage and distribution of information via the internet), collaboration with state regulatory bodies, state institutes and much more.
SPB TV became a member of RAEC by an act of the association’s council as of April 4, 2014.
