Leading Chinese Media Now on SPB TV Platform
The signing ceremony for agreement between Xinhua News Agency and SPB TV (Russian IT and Telecom company) took place in Moscow. The agreement enables the broadcasting of Xinhua channels – CNC World Chinese and CNC English – on the base of the SPB TV Media Platform.
Since today anyone can download for free the SPB TV application on the site www.spbtv.com and watch CNC World Chinese and CNC English channels on any mobile device with the support of main operating systems (iOS, Аndroid, Symbian and others) as well as on desktop PCs and notebooks.
At the end of 2009, The Xinhua News Agency has launched a twenty-four-hour TV news network in English and Chinese languages which main task is an operative and objective covering of the most important political, economic and cultural events throughout the world and in China.
The CNC broadcasting on the base of the SPB TV Platform gives the Xinhua channels an opportunity not only to expand their audience (more than 7300000 people), but also to take advantage of unique advertising options.
The SPB TV technology enables to define a full sociological profile of every viewer. According to the agreement, the CNC representatives will have a full access to the information about their audience and an opportunity to realize targeting advertising campaigns and promo-actions.
Both parties are intended to enlarge their cooperation for broadcasting in Russia and CIS as well as in other countries.
The signing ceremony was attended by high officers as Alexey Volin, the vice-minister of Connections and Mass Communications, Zhang Tegang, the general manager of the Xinhua News Agency Eurasian Hub, Kirill Filippov, the general manager of the SPB TV company, diplomats from the China Embassy in Russian Federation and media representatives of both countries.
